Like me my little grand daughter Nerjis Asif Shakir who completed 3 years as per Islamic calendar on 15 Shaban , is fascinated with barbers , her Mundan religious tonsure pictures on Flickr she thinks are very funny , that time she was 6 day old.
She can spot a picture , and it has nothing to do with vision , just street instincts and hard training since birth..
This evening after shooting this lot Itook her through the slums near my house , she tripped fell in the muck I took some water washed her shoes hands, and we moved ahead ..
Than she shot the madman of bandra asleep , some more street shots of kids playing cricket .. till we reached Bandra SV Road bought bloodworms and we crossed the road towards Bandra Talao , I sat to get my ears cleaned she shot a few frames than I held the camera and shot the ear cleaner cleaning my ears .. after I finished Nerjis shot the other ear cleaner , they all want her pictures .
Than I bought some gram for Rs 10 let her feed the pigeons and some urchins she gave money to the kids .. we came back to Bandra ..I bought her icecream.. and this was her Sunday street tutorials .
And luckily she does not need guys to teach her street photography .. on the street walk of Haji Ali .. courtesy Sunday Midday..
Sorry I did not teach my grand kids to avoid shooting beggars .. I let them at a very young age understand pain suffering ..and photography for photography sake has no meaning.. street photography too has a purpose ..
