If You Can Hold A Camera You Can Shoot Pictures ,, Shot By Nerjis Asif Shakir 3 Year Old
For a long time I had not taken Nerjis out , I had to go to Brian Cable to pay my monthly subscription so I decided taking Nerjis along with my camera and my tutorials on shooting the streets ,, from my house to Somnath Lane where Brian has his office is a long brisk walk.. at some places I carried her too..
She shot Bandra Bazar Road , than she shot St Peters Church, she shot the Stanislites practicing football..she shot Brian and his sister and we returned home when it was real dark.
The sprout seller is a Marthi Manoos , he and his wife sell fresh sprouts and is an iconic spot at Bandra Bazar Road.
Bandra Bazar Road is my documentary too on the neglect apathy by our local representatives that we elected to power , and they did not care a hoot but the soul of Bandra Bazar road in deep sleep is finally awakening . Our Vote is not for making politicians rich and the rich man builders richer ,, it is for generating progress and development and not dividing us as Muslims Hindus Dalits and Christians ,,,
And Mr Narendra Modijis Swach Bharat in Bandra a BJP Constituency is million light years away.. dont ask me why .. some soul searching is required ,,
Open dirty gutters and one of the filthiest Municipal markets this poor side of Bandra .. and all this is known as Gaothan .. East Indian pride heritage gone to see .
Who ever comes to powers as MLA here will have to Heal this part of dying Bandra rustic old Bandra .
So Nerjis will now take you all on a tour of Bandra through her vision eyes ..and the Canon EOS 60D .. the camera that has helped make her the youngest street photographer of Bandra .

This morning I took Nerjis Asif Shakir 2 year old to Bandra Bazar Road for her photography tutorials , so when the policeman asked her where she was going.. she answered back ,,Dada Ke Sath Bhikari Shoot Karne Ja Rahi Hoon,, Her bond with the Bandra beggars is unique , most of them know her as she makes my wife shell out money to them when she goes to school each morning ,,
Nerjis can hold the Canon 60 D by herself but I am scared , so I help her .. the trigger pressing and the shots are all hers ..
Like me she is photo intuitive and will meet the choicest photogenic beggars on her path ..she will never take the camera before placing the strap-round her neck, some shots she sits down and shoots , so she may accidentally chop a bit of the subjects head ..
I hardly shoot pictures and have bequeathed the camera to her in my lifetime ...

Since a toddler Nerjis Asif Shakir has been close to the fisher women of Bandra Bazar Road .. and the best way to learn... or rather unlearn photography is shooting them, and the chaos cacophony of the dirtiest fish market in Mumbai.. the Bandra Bazar Fish Market .. what women empowerment and total Municipal political apathy..
Our Political netas corporators have turned a blind eye to this ugliness , hope Ms Punam Mahajan and Mr Phiroze Palkivala drop by and see it for themselves ..
Priya Ji has yet to come to our fish market her late father Mr Sunil Dutt Saab was an exception he did come here during the monsoons ..
