Born on 17 July at Holy Family Hospital on her fathers birthday, she came home on 19th July to a new surroundings and my humble Nikon D 80 pays tribute to her journey that begins now in sheer humility and gratitude , she is more focused than Marziya , she loves to cry draw attention , every second, what she wants is her dad to lift her raise in the air gently and continuously, she is an action child.
With Marziya because she was my first grand child I shot trigger happy every single nuance but with Nerjis Asif Shakir I try to capture her moods in a few frames , there used to be a tiny antique camera a memorabilia that Marziya used as a toy I cant find it..
Nerjis Asif Shakir is Google Pluskin .. a Google+kid..with Marc Zuckerburg and Facebook Giant killer Vic Gundotra in her circle..
I keep going to her room to pick up gems her sparkling eyes and does she really think I am crazy,her sister Marziya shoots her too but reluctantly , not able to get the right perspective...
My family does not like photography, they hate pictures of the family plastered on Facebook walls but they watch me in silence , simply because Marziyas story board is visible to them and they now try to compare Nerjis birth with Marziya ..
The Day Nerjis was born she was already Google searched and was given a suitable Internet launch..
Marziyas birth did not evoke much curiosity or interest but a message from meof her arrival to my patrons friends has made Nerjis Asf Shakir a star in her house, everybody has welcomed her blessed her Mr Rajesh Khanna Shakti Kapoor Saab , Mrs Punam Sinha Kush Sinha Mr Rajat Rawail, and so many others to name a few including my Facebook friends ..
So I shall document her life as I documented Marziyas life at Flickr.com..my daughter in law is a very sweet kid herself, this her second gifted child, she is the finest mother takes personal care in the growth of her children..because she is a conservative Shia Muslim I have never posted her picture on the Internet ..this is my tribute to her stature as my daughter now and to her privacy..
Let it be known we Shakirs from Bandra are not camera centric or photographers but photography was thrust on by a God who is great photographer too.
Both my grand children's photo Guru is Dr Glenn Losack MD from Manhattan New York..its his blessings his camera the Nikon D80 that is their launch pad into cyberspace..
